“The Eighteenth Spring Akita Sake Tasting Event”
ASC was established in June 2006 to introduce the sake, food and culture from Akita Prefecture to the NYC area. This autumn, ASC is proud to announce “The Akita Sake Tasting Event” on May 2, 2014. This is our Eighteenth Sake Tasting Event since 2006. We greatly appreciate people, who love and support our sake tasting event. Enjoy tasting more than 40 of the finest sakes from Akita, the Tohoku Region and all over Japan we have chosen especially for you to try.

Savor some of Akita’s delicacies such as Cold Inaniwa Noodle, Akita Miso- Flavor Honey Chicken, Iburi Gakko (Smoked radish pickles), Miso-flavor Mozzarella Cheese, Omusubi or Rice Ball by Omusubi Gonbei, Japanese Tea by Ippodo Tea USA, Inc, Sapporo Beer and so on.

Enjoy performances by guest musicians Mr. Gaku Takanashi who will be performing on the Guitar or Shamisen and Mr. Richard Bennett will be playing the Piano. Be green and please bring your sake glass. Its taste is better than that of plastic glass. Sake Sommelier Ms. Chizuko Niikawa will also be present with any questions regarding our sake tastings.
