On 14 November 2017, Tuesday – We are unveiling a Sake Pairing Dinner with gastronomic Modern European dishes by new Head Chef Toni Valero paired with premium Japanese sake from the Tochigi prefecture. We’ve prepared Tuna Belly & Hokkaido Scallops for this dinner! A stunning 6-Course sake pairing dinner to lookout for.
Diners can look forward and dig into some of our signature dishes that has Spanish & Asian influences featuring the Scallop, Cauliflower and Pandan Puree, Miso Biscuit & Kale, Tuna Belly, Charcoal Marmitako, Capers Dust & Pimentón Oil. The hokkaido scallop is paired with Sanran Junmai Daiginjo – a limited and super-premium sake, an excellent sake paired with gentle flavor that is clean with a dash of salty qualities.
Don’t miss our very special creation for the restaurant, Curry Leaf Ice cream & Strawberry Szechuan Pepper. This dessert always surprise and catch our guests off-guard!
As a prefecture, Tochigi is probably unknown to most non-Japanese. But this prefecture has one of the most popular tourist attraction, Nikko. Ring a bell? Nikko is the home of the famous Toshogu shrine and it is only two and a half hours away from Tokyo, which is probably why it is such a hot tourist spot. Not only tourists who enjoy the day trip due to its proximity from Tokyo, sake brewers in Tochigi ride on that advantage as well, sending most of their produce to the capital with a huge market and high demand.
