Urban Sake Tasting Note:
Bombastic full rich flavor. This is a ginjo (slightly fortified) Nama (unpasteurized) Genshu (undiluted cask strength)… a triple threat if there ever was one. big and brassy, but easy to love.
Find it in Chicago at Fox & Obel for $28.99. Just bought it yesterday. Great selection and service.
Def big on flavor but to be fair, it is my first “Nama”. Actually good but stronger than what I’m used to. Still, quite good, nothing harsh. Maybe would be called sweet and dry, But not gross sweet. 18% alcohol remember so……
I’m sure I’ll buy it again.
You can purchase a can of Narutotai Ginjo Namagenshu sake at Japan Bistro on Colorado Avenue in Pasadena. It is a restaurant/sake bar on the north side of the street just east of Lake Avenue.
