Hakkaisan “Eight Peaks” Shoyu Ramen Special. Location is the NEW Ippudo Ramen 5th Ave!
On Setpember 25th we will host the third and final collaboration between Ippudo New York’s Ramen
Master “Foo” Kanegae and Niigata’s famous premium sake, Hakkaisan. This brewery is widely known
for its top quality sake and is recognized through its Japanese name as “Eight Peaks.” Over the past two
years, we have done events with Hakkaisan featuring an original miso ramen and shio ramen but we will
feature a new style of Shoyu ramen for our last hurrah with Hakkaisan brewery.
Master Kanegae has chosen to serve a delicious new Shoyu Ramen based from soy sauce for this special
occasion and is incorporating a generous portion of Hakkaisan Tokubetsu Junmai and Snow Aged Junmai
Ginjo 3 Years in his broth. This particular sake is only exported to countries outside of Japan and brewed
with local Niigata Gohyakumangoku sake rice. Along with the limited ramen, we will be serving
Hakkaisan’s rare sake Hakkaisan Snow Aged Junmai Ginjo 3 Years which is aged 3 years in a specially
crafted snow filled cellar. The combination of this sake and ramen will be one-of-a-kind and should not
be missed amongst foodies, and sake aficionados.
Please note we will only be serving limited portions and there will be no reservations. We hope to see you
for our special evening!
