Join Les Dames d’Eescoffier for a guided tasting of Japan’s TÅhoku region sampling regional foods and sake with an illustrated talk by Elizabeth Andoh.
Elizabeth Andoh, a leading expert on Japanese culinary arts, was a Dame while living in New York in the 1980’s. Her latest book, KIBÅŒ (Brimming with Hope): Recipes & Stories from Japan’s Tohoku (Ten Speed Press, 2012), is a culinary tribute to the region devastated last year by earthquake and tsunami. A portion of proceeds from the e-original publication is being donated toward Japan’s recovery efforts.
