Join the Club!! The Urban Sake Tasting Club is a group of New York Based Sake enthusiasts who get together monthly to learn a bit about sake, meet new sake friends, enjoy a sake tasting together and, of course have some fun. Everyone is welcome!
Sake Samurai and Nihonshu expert Timothy Sullivan will be on hand to answer any and all questions you have about Japanese sake! This is your chance to relax and have an expert guide you through your sake flight!

Our December Tasting Club event is on Dec 17th from 6:30-8:30 at Sakagura Restaurant. We’ll focus this time on warmed sakes, known as “O-kan”. These warmed brews are perfect for the season! Come in from the cold and discover the healing power of O-kan sake!
Our November 12th Urban Sake Tasting Club meeting at Sakagura Restaurant was a big success! We tasted three fantastic Hiyaoroshi Sakes. Hiyaoroshi is known as “fall nama” It’s a delicious seasonal brew available this time of year only! Everyone had a great time and we’re looking forward to December!
Held on Oct 8th, 2012 at Sakagura Restaurant, our first tasting club event was a big success! We explored 3 wonderful Genshu sakes and enjoyed a yummy mushroom appetizer from Sakagura! I really enjoyed this event a lot!
